Factors Related to Nurses’ Knowledge and Attitudes Toward Pain in Hospitals in Low-Income Areas

BackgroundEffective pain management is closely related to nurses' knowledge and attitudes toward pain. Limited studies have been performed nurses’ in hospitals low-income areas.AimsThis study surveyed the of nurses county from areas Hunan Province, China.Setting participantsThe included 4,668 registered working 48 China.MethodsA cross-sectional examined with regard using Chinese version Knowledge Attitude Survey Regarding Pain (KASRP) via WeChat application.ResultsThe completed survey; these, 43.6% indicated they had never received continuing education for The mean percentage score KASRP was (40.3 ± 7.95), none respondents achieved a >80%. Further, 40 items, only two correct rate Continuing did not significantly affect KASRP. Multiple stepwise linear regression showed that level, ethnicity, professional title, position, department were independent influencing factors scores.ConclusionAlmost all deficiencies various aspects knowledge.
